Talking Clock & Sound:
On installation, the Talking clock is supposed to call out the time every hour from 8am to 6pm. If the clock does not work, you need to check the volume of 'Alarm' in the mobile's 'Settings', 'Sound'. If you want it to call your name instead of johnny, change the name in the JohnnysApp 'Settings', 'Clock.setting'
Notifications on the toDO list are also spoken out by default. If you don't hear them, check up the 'Alarm' volume on your mobile's sound settings.
Data Backups:
Data backup happens every midnight onto the phone storage. If you have data cards on your mobile, it is suggested that you change the backup to the card.
Backup can also be setup to be automatic on the cloud. Enabling automatic backup on cloud or data card is recommended so that your data is safe even if the mobile is corrupted/lost/to be changed. The backup includes your contact data as well. Therefore with a cloud data backup, even a loss/failure of your mobile doesn't become the ultimate tragedy. At least you can recover your data-JohnnysApp data and your contact data.
JohnnysApp has options to restore data from your data card/cloud backup onto your new mobile.
V-card reader & Document tracking ask for an installation:
V-card reader & Document scanner need a supporting app. When you use these modules for the first time, you will be prompted to install them. Give all necessary permissions so that you can use these modules. The installation is required only once for each of them.
What is a scribble unit?
Scribbles are organized into independent units each with its own title. It is almost like your file on your computer. Ideally you have a unit on each topic of relevance to you.
When you search for data, any find within the unit brings out the unit. It helps you to localize your search results and update the relevant data as and when required.
What is a remote toDO?
You fail if your assistant fails. (It can be far worse, if your boss fails). To ensure that the assistant doesn't have an excuse for a failure, you can set up an alert to appear on his phone at any time. The remote toDO enables you to define an alert on another JOHNNYSAPP USER's phone. He sees the alert message at the right time. He can act-call, message, do-the-needful, snooze the toDO etc as appropriate.
How to setup a remote toDO?
From your toDO screen, Select remote toDO, enter data that the remote toDO screen should see-Name, timings etc. If you select a contact name from your contact list, the recipient will only see the name since your contact list is not in sync with the recipient's contact list. If he has to call a number that he is not aware of, remember to include the number in the message that you type in name column
Enable popup, so that the toDO popup appears on his phone. Then select the beneficiary of the toDO from your contact list. This person should be a JA user. JA will create an alert on the beneficiary phone screen as defined by you.

What is a contact group?
You can make any number of groups called contact groups, each with any number of your contacts as members. You can give a name to the group. The list is tree structured.
Tree structured list can sometimes save you a lot of time. For any JA share, you can select a contact or a contact group. You can select one branch of the tree structured contact list for sharing to share the data with all the members of that branch. Typically, you can even choose to exclude some members from the group while sharing.
You define contact groups from Keep-in-Touch module.
Each of 'My places' has an associated contact group.
